Checker play
Defense before Offense I
This play looked pretty obvious as it perfectly made the 7pt. In this case it was very wrong as I should have made the anchor. That anchor on my opponent's bar point is important because it keeps me in the game and avoids some nasty jokers (66,33,11) that dont play well otherwise. Making my 7pt also forces me to roll well as it leaves my position very stripped.
Keys to remember: It is usually wise to grab an anchor rather than an offensive point unless you are hitting. Don't needlessly strip your position when you have other options.
