Checker play
I have several reasons screaming at me to hit loose here and I managed to ignore all of them. 1. My opponent only has one checker back 2. I have the better board 3. I am behind in the race 4. I could close my opponent out and go for a gammon 5. I really don't have anything else constructive to do.
I thought I would try and get my back checkers moving and let my prime contain my opponents checker. Truth is, a 4pt. prime is nice but it wont contain a checker on the edge of it for long.
Keys to remember here: There are 5 reasons above to go for the bold play. Any two of them combined should urge you to hit in a similar situation, you can always get those back checkers moving once you close your opponent out.
