Checker play
The odds of winning the game here are pretty slim if you hit on the three point and get hit back but that's no reason not to do it. After this roll I am 1 pip behind in the count and I have two gaps in my board that will hurt me in the bearoff. The edge definitely goes to my opponent. But if I hit, there are only 11 rolls that hit back and good chances to cover on my next roll if they dance. Edge definitely to me!
Keys to remember: When you are behind in the pip count near the end of the game and you have one checker left to contain, you pretty much hit every time. This increases your chances of winning even though you may lose if you get hit back. Time to make the big play.
